Aminu Bala Bodinga

Background

He was born on the 15th day of February 1966 in Bodinga town of Bodinga Local Government area of Sokoto State. In 1979, he obtained his Certificate of Primary Education from town Primary School, Bodinga. He then proceeded to Government Teachers College, Argungu where he obtained his grade II Certificate in 1984; he got Admission into College of Education Sokoto and successfully obtained the Nigerian Certificate of Education in 1988. In 2014, he got his bachelor of arts (Ed) in Primary Education under the National open University of Nigeria. In his quest for higher learning, he went back to national Open University of Nigeria to obtain his master’s degree in education planning and administration in 2016. He also has professional Certificate obtained at international institute of professional security in affiliation with Alqalam University Katsina in 2017 and a professional diploma in security management and strategy operations.

His working experience began in 1984 to 1985 as grade II teacher. He was promoted to the position of the Head teacher in 1988, in 1990; he worked as depot representative for Anaruwa petroleum Nigeria limited. Then he became the state PRO of national association of small scale industries from 1993 to 1996; the General Manager, Waziri group of companies from 1993 to 1997. He then became the secretary, northern Petroleum Bridgers Association Ibadan/Mosomi depot from 1999 to 2001, then he became the depot representative, southern zone, Anaruwa Petroleum Nigeria Limited and Managing Director, Nagarta Automobile & Investment Limited.

His political career began in 1989 when he became the state assemble aspirant, national republican convention (NRC). He was the secretary, Nigerian youth organization, Bodinga Local Government from 1991 to 1992, the secretary DPN, Bodinga Local Government from 1998 to 1999. From 1999 to 2006, he was the secretary DPN, Bodinga Local Government from 1998 to 1999. From 1999 to 2006, he was the secretary of PDP elders committee, Bodinga Local Government. He was also PDP chairmanship aspirant, Bodinga Local Government in 2002 and the special assistant to State Chairman PDP, Sokoto State from2002 to 2003. Then he became the Zonal Secretary, PDP Sokoto south senatorial district from 2012 to 2014, in 2015, he was elected member representing Bodinga east at the Sokoto State House of Assembly in 2015.<br>

Hon. Aminu Bala Bodinga is currently the Honorable Commissioner, Ministry for Youths and Sports Development, Sokoto State and was appointed in June, 2019. He is happily married with kids and enjoys travelling, sightseeing and reading.
